Ingredients

One Autumn Day

Wainui Beach, Gisborne

Nor-Wester Wind

4-6 foot ground swell

White Bread

(ordinary kiwi-type) cheese

marmite

Wake at 7am. check for swell. Run to shed and get surfboard, light wetsuit. Mix in light Nor-Wester, Add surfing mate, (called Dave if available). Head out to sea. Leave for 2 hours in hot surf. Remove from sea. Add white bread, cheese and marmite sandwiches. Garnish with Sunday paper if Royal Family not on the cover. Enjoy! (Enjoy again following morning if lucky.)
